KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 20 mm, 7.77 g, 12 h), Damaskos, circa 77/6-72. Draped bust of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed Armenian tiara decorated with a comet star and bull's horn, and tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣΙΛEΩΣ - TIΓPANOY The Tyche of Damaskos seated to left on rock, extending her right arm and holding cornucopiae in her left hand; below, river-god swimming to right; in field to outer left, ΘΕ/ΟΦ. Kovacs 137. Rare and unusually attractive. The obverse a bit weak, otherwise, about very fine.
